Ferranti – the energy ride

The Antwerp-based company Ferranti has started a project to offer its more than 300 employees the opportunity to use an electric bicycle for commuting or for trips to, for example, a meeting or a lunch in the city. More than 3000 km were already covered with the eBikes in the first four weeks of the project. Every year they save more than 2000 liters of fuel.

Moreover, sustainability is a much broader concept, marketing consultant Delvaux notes. “It’s about human values, acting respectfully and creating products that can withstand time. As an IT provider, they can do quite a few things in that regard. First and foremost in the relationship with the customers, but also by making the own applications as sustainable as possible. Among other things by ensuring that the Ferranti systems work as accurately as possible. This saves time, money and unnecessary printing. Or take, for example, the mobile workforce that manages our application: our system calculates the optimal route for our customers to get their technical intervention teams to their destination. Better for the customer, better for the planet.”
